About the Opportunity

The Site Manager is responsible for the optimal asset performance of Based at our 88MW Kareeya Hydro Power Station in Tully.  Accountable for leading safe and effective operations with a focus on health, safety & environment; the Site Manager oversees the management and execution of CleanCo’s asset management strategy in accordance with CleanCo’s policies, standards, and frameworks.  

 

Leading site-based engineering, operators and maintenance personnel, you will ensure both reliability and availability of this key generation asset, along with exploiting every opportunity for optimisation in support of CleanCo’s trading strategy. As a part of the Operational Leadership Team, you will contribute to the development of CleanCo’s strategic plan and ensure activities at Kareeya align with this along with the budget and asset management strategy.
 

About you

  • With extensive experience in a power station or heavy industry, you bring skills in both the management and execution of asset management strategies.
  • You are a natural leader who fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and you aren’t afraid to innovate, drive change and strive for a cohesive, collaborative team culture.
  • You pride yourself on your ability to engage a team to maintain a consistent focus on health, safety and environment while leading best practice in operations and maintenance.
  • We are open to candidates with demonstrated operational leadership ability and people management experience, with a relevant engineering degree highly regarded.
  • You are comfortable working at all levels, including working closely with senior leadership while communicating clearly and practically with an operationally focused team onsite.
  • Essential to your success will be previous responsibility for risk management, budget development & management. 
  • You bring an excellent understanding and application of asset management, maintenance management, and commercial principles and processes.
  • You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of renewable, reliable and affordable energy for Queensland.
