What you'll contribute to
Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for an Electrical Tradesperson to join the team at CleanCo’s 88MW Kareeya Hydro Power in Tully. This key role ensures equipment performs safely and reliably, supporting energy supply across Queensland.
In this role you’ll:
- Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical plant and infrastructure.
- Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns to improve plant reliability.
- Support shutdowns, restarts, outages and contractor management activities.
- Complete inspections, SAP work orders, defect notifications and maintenance planning.
- Help maintain safe, reliable hydro generation assets supporting Queensland’s energy needs.
- Once trained this role will participate in the On-Call roster.
This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity that works 36.25 hours over a Tuesday to Friday roster and is based at Kareeya Power Station. It is expected that candidates live locally to the power station.
On your first day we expect you to have:
- Recognised Electrical trade certificate and Queensland Electrical Workers Licence.
- Current manual C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in power generation, complex process operations or heavy industry maintenance.
- Fault-finding capability across electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Knowledge of Safe Work Systems, isolations, risk assessments and maintenance practices.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contractor environments.
- Certificate qualification Instrumentation and Control, Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas or High Voltage Isolation and Access (HVIA) is preferred.
