About the Opportunity

As Senior Process Safety Engineer/Specialist, you will provide tactical leadership and technical expertise in process safety across CleanCo’s diverse generation portfolio.

You will lead the development and implementation of process safety management systems and drive compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Your work will include incident investigation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives that safeguard asset integrity and operational excellence.

This permanent role is based in Brisbane with monthly travel to CleanCo sites across QLD, and includes the and includes the flexibility to work from home.

About you

You are a solution-focused professional with:

• A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent - if you don’t have an engineering degree and have solid process safety experience in the power generation or heavy industries, we’d love to hear from you.
• Deep knowledge of engineering process safety, functional safety, and asset integrity in high-risk environments.
• In-depth and broad knowledge of power generation technologies and/or process design and operations, including thermal, gas, hydro and renewable energy sources or other industries such as heavy, mining or chemical processing
• Experience managing process safety matters across multiple sites simultaneously with competing priorities.
• Strong capability in managing process safety across multiple sites
• Expertise in incident investigation methodologies and risk assessment tools
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships internally and externally
• A passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
