What you'll contribute to

As a Spot Market Trader, you’ll play a key role in delivering strong spot market outcomes across CleanCo’s generation portfolio.

You will:

Be responsible for dispatching CleanCo’s electricity assets into the National Electricity Market in a compliant and commercial way, while responding to real-time market conditions.
Develop and apply trading strategies that maximise spot market returns and support portfolio performance.
Provide accurate forecasting and market analysis to inform planning, pricing models and the corporate budget.
Work closely with other trading teams and internal stakeholders to support a reliable and affordable transition to increased renewable energy.
Contribute to innovative and lean approaches to spot trading and wholesale electricity pricing in Queensland.

This role is a full-time position based in Brisbane.

On your first day, we expect you to have:

A bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce, mathematics or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in energy or financial market trading
Strong analytical capability, using data to support commercial decisions
Knowledge of the National Electricity Market and relevant market rules
Experience contributing in fast-paced or evolving environments
