What you'll contribute to
As a Spot Market Trader, you’ll play a key role in delivering strong spot market outcomes across CleanCo’s generation portfolio.

- Be responsible for dispatching CleanCo’s electricity assets into the National Electricity Market in a compliant and commercial way, while responding to real-time market conditions.
- Develop and apply trading strategies that maximise spot market returns and support portfolio performance.
- Provide accurate forecasting and market analysis to inform planning, pricing models and the corporate budget.
- Work closely with other trading teams and internal stakeholders to support a reliable and affordable transition to increased renewable energy.
- Contribute to innovative and lean approaches to spot trading and wholesale electricity pricing in Queensland.
This role is a full-time position based in Brisbane.
On your first day, we expect you to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce, mathematics or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in energy or financial market trading
- Strong analytical capability, using data to support commercial decisions
- Knowledge of the National Electricity Market and relevant market rules
- Experience contributing in fast-paced or evolving environments
