What you'll contribute to
Temporary part-time opportunity | 3 months | 3 days per week
Are you studying, recently graduated, or looking to build practical experience in design, digital media and corporate communications?
CleanCo’s Government Relations and Communications team is looking for a Digital and Design Assistant to support a short-term uplift of our brand, design and digital communication materials.
We're a collaborative, hands-on communications team that enjoys tackling challenges together, trying new approaches and helping each other succeed. You'll be given the opportunity to roll up your sleeves, contribute from day one and grow your skills across digital, internal and external communications and brand strategies, helping us create clearer, more consistent and engaging materials across our channels. This is an exciting opportunity to work with CleanCo’s refreshed brand guidelines, templates and visual assets to develop practical, portfolio-worthy work.
This is a flexible part-time role. We’re happy to work with the successful candidate to agree on working days and arrangements that support their study commitments or transition into the workforce.
What you’ll be working on
In this role, you’ll help the team with:
- Supporting brand integration across the business through uplifted visual assets
- Creating brand-aligned graphics, icons, Teams backgrounds, digital assets and visual content
- Designing simple digital and social media assets for internal and external channels
- Improving reusable brand assets, including Microsoft Office templates, so they are easier for the business to use
- Assisting with basic video, visual content and digital media support
- Helping improve the look, feel and user experience of communication materials across the business
About you
This role would suit someone who is studying, close to graduating, or has recently graduated in design, digital media, visual communication or a related field.
You'll be a good fit if you are:
- Skilled in using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint or similar
- Have knowledge in applying brand, accessibility, consistency and user experience
- Can follow a brief, take feedback and refine your work
- Have good attention to detail
- Are curious, collaborative and willing to learn
- Would value practical portfolio experience in a corporate communications environment
- Experience with video editing, photography, animation or social media content would be helpful, but it’s not essential.
About the team
You’ll be part of CleanCo’s Government Relations and Communications team. We are a hands-on team that supports communication across the business, including internal communications, external communications, media, social media, brand, government relations and stakeholder engagement.
Why this role?
This short-term role is designed to give a current or recent student meaningful, practical experience while helping CleanCo deliver a focused uplift of our brand and digital communication materials.
You’ll contribute to real work, learn from experienced communication professionals and develop tangible design and digital media examples that can support your next career move.
