About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Tradesperson to join the team at CleanCo’s Barron Gorge Hydro Electric Power Station in Cairns to work in a varied role performing plant maintenance, modifications, overhauls and plant inspections.
 

Focused on ensuring both production and maintenance requirements are met, you will work flexibly across both maintenance and site support duties as a key member of the Barron Gorge team.
 

This is a permanent opportunity that will work a 4-day Tuesday to Friday roster and will require the successful candidate to be on call 1 week out of every 6 weeks.

About you

• You are a trade certified electrician with a Queensland Electrical Workers licence or equivalent and offer strengths in problem-solving complex challenges in a similar heavy industry. You are curious and show a genuine eagerness to learn.
• At CleanCo, we value a drive in personal & professional development, so if you have completed further studies and achieved certificate qualifications or experience in areas such as; instrumentation & controls, electrical equipment hazardous areas, high voltage isolation & access or a high-risk work licence, this would be beneficial but we could also provide training in these areas.
• You are naturally collaborative and offer your support to other teams when you can see a need, building strong working relationships both internally and with external contractors.
• You have a growth mindset, identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies for processes, systems and ways of work.
• You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of low emission, renewable, reliable and affordable energy for Queensland.
